Vänersborg district court in western Sweden has rejected beleaguered carmaker Saab
Automobile's applications for business reconstruction.According to the written ruling of the court, there are too much uncertainty in how and if Saab will solve both the short- and long-term funding, and if Saab will be able to restart production and also how much damage the Saab brand has taken. All in the all the court thinks that the conditions for Saab to succeed with a reconstruction is not present.
Saab can however appeal the decision of the District Court to the Svea Court of Appeal.
This means that at the moment Saab is not protected from bankruptcy and at least two of the labor unions at Saab have said that they will file for bankruptcy if the reconstrcution was not approved. Saab also wrote in the application that filing for bankruptcy may be an option the company itself will resort to.

Selon la décision écrite de la cour, il ya trop d'incertitudes dans la façon dont Saab va résoudre à la fois le financement à court et à long terme, et si Saab sera capable de relancer la production et aussi combien de dégâts tout cela a engendré pour la marque Saab . Le tribunal estime que les conditions pour Saab pour réussir avec une reconstruction ne sont pas réunies .
Saab peut toutefois interjeter et faire appel de la décision de la District Court auprès de la Cour d'appel de Svea.
Cela signifie que à cet instant de Saab n'est plus protégé contre la faillite et au moins deux des syndicats de Saab ont dit qu'ils vont déposer le bilan si la reconstuction n'était pas approuvée. Saab a également écrit dans l'application que le dépôt de bilan peut être une option à lkaquelle l'entreprise pourrait elle-même recourir.
