bankruptcy request remains
On Friday, the company Swepart filed a petition against Saab Tools, one of Saab Automobile’s affiliated companies, for unpaid debts of SEK five million. Later the same day, the head of the information department at Saab Automobile reported that the parties had agreed on a payment plan and that the bankruptcy petition was withdrawn. But this is contradicted by Swepart’s CEO Lars Thunberg. He says the bankruptcy request remains until he has received an acceptable payment plan from Saab. “My request for bankruptcy can at first be withdrawn on Monday,” he says. (SVT)

„Saab’s Days Are Numbered”
“Saab’s days are numbered,” said Holmqvist, who gives Saab only a month or two.
“Suppliers won’t supply any longer. They have grown tired. They believed the promises made by Muller, but now nobody believes anymore.”The suppliers lost faith in the viability of Saab. Loss of future business is no threat for them if they think there is no future business. Says Holmqvist:
“With 30 years of experience in the business, I ca say that you cannot make money building production cars if your volume is not at least 100,000 to 200,000 cars a year. They compete with manufacturers that sell 300,000 to 400,000 cars a year – I am amazed that they survived so long.”Read more Here

Our thoughts go to Norway
We want to show our support for the victims and their families to the horrible things that happened in Oslo and Utøya yesterday. Seven people died in Oslo because of a detonated bomb and more than 90 people (still counting) was executed at Utøya. Both massacres happened because of one deeply sick man.
Personally I am still shocked about this, i used to work in Oslo untill a few weeks ago...and the fact that i live 200 km from Oslo make this more real.

SwePart Verktyg AB demande le dépôt de bilan de Saab Autombile Tools
Un sous-traitant automobile a demandé en justice le dépôt de bilan d'une filiale du constructeur suédois en difficulté Saab, à qui il réclame des impayés, a-t-on appris vendredi de source judiciaire.

Saab Automobile update on production
La reprise de la production officiellement postposée à la semaine 35!
Zeewolde, The Netherlands - Swedish Automobile N.V. (Swan) announces that Saab Automobile AB (Saab Automobile) continues discussions with its supplier base on material supply and delivery terms in order to be able to resume production at its Trollhättan plant. Swan and Saab Automobile continue their discussions with parties to obtain further short-term funding to be able to restart and sustain production. As delivery of all parts needed to secure a production start is not yet agreed production will not resume on August 9 as intended and will be postponed until a full commitment on delivery plans can be secured.
Swedish Automobile SA (Swan) annonce que Saab Automobile AB (Saab Automobile) poursuit les discussions avec ses fournisseurs sur l'approvisionnement en matériel et les conditions de livraison afin d'être en mesure de reprendre la production à son usine de Trollhättan. Swan et Saab Automobile poursuivent leurs discussions avec les diverses parties prenantes pour obtenir davantage de financement à court terme afin d’être en mesure de redémarrer et maintenir la production. Comme la livraison de toutes les pièces nécessaires pour garantir un démarrage de la production est toujours en cours de négociation, la production ne pourra reprendre le 9 août comme prévu et sera reportée jusqu'à ce qu'un engagement complet sur les plans de livraison puisse être assurée.
Gunnar Brunius, Vice President Production et Achats, a déclaré: «Je suis très satisfait des progrès que nous faisons sur les conditions de paiement avec nos fournisseurs et il est bon de voir que nous agissons tous dans le même but. Ce dont nous avons besoin maintenant, c'est d’un engagement total sur la fourniture de pièces pour être en mesure de relancer la production et assurer un flot de production stable. Nous travaillons dur avec nos fournisseurs afin de verrouiller ces plans, nous engager sur un calendrier de livraison et démarrer la production des quelques 11.000 voitures que nous avons actuellement en commande. La pause estivale de l’ensemble de l'industrie, comme chez nos fournisseurs, à comme conséquence que certains fournisseurs clés ne sont pas en mesure de nous fournir en temps. Saab Automobile espère relancer cette production dans le courant de la dernière semaine du mois d’août à condition d’être en mesure de nous engager sur un calendrier de livraison avec ces fournisseurs. "
Gunnar Brunius, Vice President of Production and Purchasing said: "I am positive about the progress we made on the payment terms with our suppliers and it is good to see that we all want to make it work. What we need now is a full commitment on supply of parts into our factory to be able to restart production and secure a stable manufacturing operation. We are now working hard with our suppliers to nail down these plans, commit to a delivery schedule and start building the close to 11,000 cars that we currently have in our order books. The industry-wide summer break at our suppliers caused certain key suppliers not to be able to supply us in time. Saab Automobile hopes to restart production earliest in week 35 provided that it is able to commit to a delivery schedule with its suppliers."

Selon un fournisseur de pneus le redémarrage de la production pourrait être reportée au 15 Août (33é semaine) au lieu du 9 initialement prévu !
Saab a annoncé son intention de relancer la production, le 9 août. Mais hier, Trollhättan Terminal Ltd (TTAB), qui fournit notamment les pneus, ont annoncé que les travaux reprendront au plus tôt la 33é semaine, écrit TTELA.
