La 9-3 ou plutôt la BAIC C70 est déjà prête en version « full » électrique !

Notez que contrairement à la 9-5, cette version Chinoise de la 9-3 actuelle n’est même pas redessinée, seuls les badges avant et arrière sont modifiés !

The C71 , the new old Saab 9.5 .

Beijing Auto has applied for patent on the C71, based on the old Saab 9-5. The design is definite, the C71 will debut at the April 2012 Beijing Auto Show. Design didn’t change much from the C71 concept that debuted at the 2010 Beijing Auto Show.
Beijing Auto bought the platforms for the old Saab 9-3 and 9-5 from GM in late 2009. They also bought the 2.0 turbo and 2.3 turbo engines. The C71 will be available with both. The 9-3 will be reborn as the Beijing Auto T60. The 2.0 turbo will also be used to power the BAW B40 SUV.

Beijing Auto Industry Corporation (BAIC) oeuvre pour voir leur berline électrique arriver sur le marché, et ainsi booster ses ventes jugées faibles  avec seulement 20.000 ventes de voitures neuves chaque mois . Toutefois, le gouvernement municipal de Pékin prévoit de transformer Pekin  en un paradis pour les véhicules électriques qui inclura la possibilité pour tous les acheteurs d'un véhicule éléctrique d'obtenir une plaque d'immatriculation, au lieu  d'attendre leur tour à la loterie pour plaques d'immatriculation,ainsi que de subventions . BAIC semblent bien placés pour tirer parti de ces politiques .
La C60,  est susceptible d'entrer en production dans la seconde moitié de l'année et nous estimons qu'il pourrait être disponible pour les pekinois au cours des 12 prochains mois.

Beijing Auto Industry Corporation (BAIC) are eager to get their electric sedan into the market, they have come late to the part with their self developed cars and their own home market has been put on lock down with only 20,000 new car sales happening each month. However, the Beijing municipal government are planning to turn Beijing into a paradise for electric vehicles which will include the option of foregoing the monthly lottery for a license plate, instead all EV buyers will be given a license plate instead of waiting for their turn at the license plate lottery, healthy subsidies are also being made available for EV buyers. BAIC seem well placed to take advantage of these policies, and it wouldn’t be a surprising if they lobbied for them in the first place.

The C60, along with the C30 hatchback, is likely to go into production in the next half of the year and we estimate that it could be available to civilians within the next 12 months.
