Brighwell Holdings " We have our own platform" .Interview par DI.se

Brightwell Holdings company will soon offer:
"We are just a few days, maybe a week. This is due to some final values that must be encrypted. This was an enormous task, given the size of Saab, resources, and everyone involved," said said Ahmed Zamier to di.se.
"We are now moving fast enough in the phase of taking decisions, which means that administrators will eventually ask for submissions from various parties, and make decisions," he says.
Administrators have so far kept a low profile in public about the sale of assets of Saab. Zamier Ahmed described them as "co-operative and professional" in the process so far.
Youngman, according to DI.se, was to bid for Saab this week, but so far no data are known. According to available information, Youngman would be willing to make an offer for  5 billion SEK and to invest as much in the development of new models on the platform Phoenix.
How do you rate the dangerousness of Youngman in the bidding process?"Danger is not the right word. Our offer is based on the assets - we are not looking to buy a country, or something similar."
But you are bidding on the bankrupt company?"Yes, we place an offer on the same thing. Youngman was very noisy in the media, which is good. But I did not see anything happen, "said Ahmed Zamier.
General Motors, GM, which owns much of the technology to current models of Saab, announced last week that they will not share any license, regardless of the nationality of the buyer. It is therefore a major obstacle even for Brightwell Holdings.
Zami But Ahmed says he is in contact with "decision makers at the top of GM," and he still believes GM can be convinced.
"If GM continues to issue their licenses, we can then begin production in the coming weeks. But if GM, at worst, do not want to go this direction, it does not mean that we are not interested in Saab," said  Zamier Ahmed, who says that Brightwell Holdings could still produce cars because the investment company has a platform which it owns.
Is it not overly optimistic on your part to pretend to be able to start production without a green light from GM?"Since we have our own platform, it's no more optimism. It was developed internally by one of the companies owned by Brightwell Holdings, "said Ahmed Zamier without wanting to give more details.

This weekend, he will travel to Detroit, he said. Will you visit GM ?"Who knows".

  1. That's because Brightwell holds at least a share in French automobile contract manufacturer Heuliez (who have done work with Citroen, Opel, Peugeot, and even a project with Lamborghini). On their website, Hueliez mentions they can provide whole car manufacturing, including building chassis. It's in French only, but this is interesting and informative-- they even work with aerospace!:

I originally thought of Brightwell as a strip-and-flip firm, but I am slowly changing my mind. Given that Mahindra and Brightwell (through Hueliez) have immediate access to parts and manufacturing (perhaps changing out GM parts to their own on the fly), they would appear to be in a better position to help Saab immediately.
